3 Days!

After watching the Spike Lee documentary "When the Levees Broke" I became truly awakened about the situation many citizens of New Orleans are still facings, 5+ years later. I have always understood the immediate tragedy that was presented through the break in the levees, but like so many Americans not in the surrounding area, it was easy for me to ignore the lasting impact and damage Hurricane Katrina caused. I can not wait for the chance to help rebuild this passionate city and have the opportunity to interact with those who were affected and live on to tell their story. This opportunity will be life-changing, and I am excited to channel the energy that was never lost.
