It has been two years since I first went to New Orlenas as a freshman bonner. At that time I was amazed and disturbed by the effects of the hurricane that were still unresolved. It was a truly eye opening experience to see all of the needs that many people still had from that natural disaster that occurred in 2005. After spending 10 days there two years ago I came away with a newfound respect and love of the people and culture of the city. I hope to rekindle that fire and have a great and impactful time with my fellow bonners in New Orleans.
Cannot wait to see everybody later this week,
